Safety Officer & Driver Trainer - Toronto
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday to Friday
Salary: $55,000.00-$65,000.00 per year with the opportunity for bonus pay.
Education & Experience
-
Secondary School (preferred)
-
Training: 3 years (preferred)
-
"B" or "C" license (required)
Responsibilities: Driver recruitment, hiring, training, and development
-
Oversee the entire recruitment process
-
Screening and interviewing
-
On-bus driver training and reviews
-
New route training & orientation
-
3-month reviews
-
Driver abstracts, files, and paperwork
-
Increasing the efficiency and positive work environment of the company
-
Updating and keeping relevant policies and procedures
Health & Safety Committee
-
Assemble Joint H & S Committee
-
Chair Quarterly meetings
-
Administer the H & S board and all associated correspondence
Interior / Exterior Bus Audits
-
Regularly scheduled audits of all buses
-
Administration of associated paperwork
-
Action plans and execution to repair/replenish
-
Training and awareness of policies/procedures
Incident / Accident Prevention & Investigation
-
Training and awareness of safe work practices
-
Detailed investigation and documentation of all incidents
-
Follow-up to completion of all incidents
-
Recommendations for improving safe work practices
Skills Required
-
Familiar with online advertising plus additional forms of recruiting
-
Excellent motivational, team-building and teaching skills
-
Ability to communicate to a wide-ranging driver force and staff
-
Familiar with defensive driving and driver review techniques
-
Familiar with the Occupational Health & Safety Act
-
Experienced in evaluating and solving Health & Safety concerns
-
Knowledge of the set-up and mechanical aspects of commercial vehicles
-
Familiar with all bus safety equipment including paperwork
-
Knowledge of investigation procedures
-
Extremely detailed oriented and well organized
-
Excellent communication skills
-
Excellent problem-solving and solution-based skills

Ability to motivate, organize and attain optimum efficiencies in the workplace

Shuttle Driver - Toronto
Responsibilities: Shuttling passengers on a scheduled route; providing excellent customer service and a safe and comfortable ride for passengers.
A Strong Candidate:
-
Has a C or B class licence and clean abstract
-
Has three years of professional driving experience
-
Has excellent customer service skills
-
Familiar with the streets within Toronto

Enjoys driving and meeting people
-
Shifts are Monday to Friday; flexible daytime hours
Shuttle Driver - Ottawa
Responsibilities: Shuttling passengers on a scheduled route; providing excellent customer service and a safe and comfortable ride for passengers.
