Mulmer Services announces it will once again serve as the Official Transportation Sponsor for the 2016 Grand Slam Tournament. It will do in support of Michael Garron Hospital, taking place Saturday May 14, 2016, at the Powerade Centre.
About Grand Slam Tournament:
The Grand Slam Celebrity Softball Tournament is a unique initiative that allows amateur baseball players a great opportunity. They will be able to team up with Major League Baseball players and alumni in a friendly match. All funds raised support life-giving mental health programming at Michael Garron Hospital (formerly Toronto East General Hospital).
According to Michael Burns, Chair of the TEGH Foundation, “the inspiration for Grand Slam came from the knowledge that one in five people will experience mental health issues during his or her lifetime.” Michael Garron Hospital is playing a pivotal role in the underpinning of Toronto’s mental health care services. It delivers compassionate and comprehensive treatment for children, teens, and adults. The hospital provides both emergency inpatient and long-term outpatient services for those in need.
Mulmer Services is proud to support such a worthy initiative. It will undoubtedly improve access, reduce wait times, and create a strong system of mental health services for children and youth in Toronto.
