Mulmer Services proudly announces that it will once again serve as the Official Transportation Sponsor for the 2016 Scotiabank Pro-Am for Alzheimer's. We support Baycrest Foundation, a leader in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia care, research, and education. The tournament will take place at Scotiabank Pond on May 14 and 15, 2016.
About Pro-Am:
The Pro-Am is a unique fundraising initiative that provides amateur hockey players a great opportunity. They will be able to play alongside legendary NHL greats while raising crucial funds in support of Alzheimer's research. In ten years the event has raised more than $27 million for Baycrest Health Sciences.
Garry Foster, Baycrest Foundation President and CEO, notes, “Baycrest makes a difference in the lives of thousands of older adults every day, but we have a long way to go. Alzheimer’s and related dementias affect approximately 750,000 Canadian seniors and this number is expected to increase to 1.4 million by 2031. Baycrest’s research is helping us rethink brain health and aging.”
Our Contributions:
Mulmer Services is proudly supporting worthwhile charitable initiatives in the communities we serve. Paul Richey, President of Mulmer Services, will participate in the tournament for the tenth year. In fact, this year Paul has personally pledged to raise $10,000.00 for Baycrest Foundation’s crucial research, education, and care for Alzheimer’s patients. Moreover, MSL will be providing a complementary shuttle to and from Scotiabank Pond throughout this year’s two-day tournament.
Our congratulations to the event organizers on their tenth Pro-Am for Alzheimer’s. For more information on the event or to make a donation, please visit www.alzheimersproam.ca.
